Jena + Rob’s “reveal” – Buffalo, NY Wedding Photography

I love, love, LOVE when couples do a “reveal” or “first look” before their ceremony.  I recommend it to all the non-superstitious couples out there for a number of reasons.  To begin with, it gives couples a unique opportunity to savor the moment, to say “wow, you look AMAZING!  I’m so excited to marry you today” in a comfortable space without worrying about all the formalities and stiffness of the typical ceremony setting.  Couples who do a reveal are so relaxed come ceremony time and are able to just soak in the entire experience.  Beyond all this, doing the reveal gives yours truly all the time in the world to take beautiful photos so once the ceremony is over there are no worries about pictures – it’s simply time to party (:  Here are a few shots from the latest “reveal.”  I absolutely adore them!!!

Special thanks to my lovely assistant Lisa Cooper for helping me with this shoot!

Katie + Jon’s Engagement Photography – Buffalo, NY

This has to be one of my favorite engagement sessions of the year.  Katie was a bridesmaid in a wedding I photographed last year and I remember taking one look at her and Jon and thinking, “I sure hope I have the chance to photograph their wedding some day!”  Well before we knew it they were engaged and I was lucky enough to get the gig.  (:  Katie came up with one of the longest lists of locations for their engagement session I’ve ever seen but I can’t resist an epic e-session so we made a whirlwind trip around the city starting at the site of their first date, Empire Grill and ending at one of my favorite locations along Buffalo’s waterfront where the magic really happened.  Raindrops began to fall for a few minutes then suddenly the clouds parted giving us a dramatic sky and for the last shot of night, a RAINBOW.  It was destiny (:  Without further ado I present Katie and Jon’s Engagement Photos!

I am wondering if you could let me know where these photos were taken? Specifically the park/wheat-field setting with the bridge and city in the background? Brainstorming ideas and locations!
Thanks!

Anitra

Hi Anitra! The photo with the city in the background is LaSalle Park and the photo with the bridge is Squaw Island! Hope this helps!

Nora + Mark – Buffalo, NY Wedding Photography – Pearl St. at the Webb

Nora and Mark had a destination wedding in the Dominican Republic and came back home to Buffalo to celebrate with their friends and family at Pearl St. Brewery’s beautiful new facility at the Webb building.  Before we headed to the reception we hit some of Buffalo’s most iconic locations for some portraits.  All and all it was a relaxed and fun celebration of Nora and Mark’s wedding – I’m glad I could be a part of it!   Special thanks to my assistant Chris Henneberger for helping out with this one!

Simple and Sweet Living Room Wedding – Lewiston, NY Wedding Photography

You may remember this lovely couple from their engagement photos I posted in April (http://dedario.com/blog/?p=1899).  Amanda and Brenden’s big day has since come and gone already and it was just the sweetest lil’ wedding.  It was a cool April day and this warm sunny living room setting was a charming and elegant space for their wedding ceremony followed by an elegant family dinner at a local restaurant.  The longer I do this wedding photography thing the more I’m really coming to appreciate days like this that are all about the good stuff, nothing more and nothing less (:

Special thanks to my spring intern, Holly Todd, for assisting me with this shoot!
