Mylieka + Jeff – Buffalo, NY Family Photography

When I first met with Mylieka and Jeff to talk about their wedding photos they had an interesting proposal for me.  It went something like this, “we’ve already got three kids, the last one was born on our original wedding day.  Any way we can have our first official family photos taken in lieu of engagement photos when we come home from our honeymoon?”  I loved the idea.  This family is full of life and love and to be able to provide them with their first OFFICIAL family photos was a true privilege.  We mixed in a variety of relaxed “formal” photos with a lot of candids and came up with a very sweet little collection.  Here are some of my favorites:

Holly + Zach – Java, NY Engagement Photography

Holly and Zach invited me out to their home town of North Java for this 4th of July picnic themed engagement shoot.  I was really excited when Holly mentioned the idea of a picnic for their shoot, but I was REALLY excited when I saw the location in person and the killer outfits they had picked out.  I absolutely love when couples add their personal flair to their engagement and wedding shoots.  You’ll notice the Harry Potter books, for example, which they decided to bring because they got engaged at a Harry Potter festival.  Adorable.  Enjoy!

Allie + Nick – Buffalo, NY Wedding Photography

Hi Everyone!  I’m in the process of changing the layout of the blog so please hang tight while I’m working out the kinks!  Thanks for stopping in and check back soon for the upcoming changes!

The spring wedding season has arrived!   This blog will be seeing a lot of action in the coming months and is going to start with one that should prove hard to top.  Our season got off to an incredible start at Allie and Nick’s wedding.  These two had one of the sweetest and most picturesque weddings I’ve photographed –  a truly great group of people that made me think on my drive home, “I really do have an AWESOME job.”  (:  Anyway, there were so many photos I loved that I decided to just go a little crazy with this blog post and try out a new format to showcase the images.   Hope you all enjoy it, let me know what you think!

We began the day at Allie’s childhood home in Elma.  How cute are the flower girl and jr. bridesmaid after receiving their parasols?

Thanks Amanda! Consider yourself lucky, the people who get married in October will probably feel like they’re waiting a lifetime. Allie and Nick were one of the first of the year so I was able to turn the photos around nice and quick!

There is so much to love about this Wedding: the groomsmen ties are great and I love the First Look Photos!

Thanks Queen City Bride! Such a cute couple with great family and friends, I couldn’t go wrong. A lot of comments on the paisley ties though, I’m sensing a trend! (:
