This photography studio and workshop space is conveniently nestled between Buffalo's Five Points neighborhood and Elmwood Village, in the historic Essex Arts Center. Our turn of the century building is filled with character. Once an ice house, the building was repurposed as an art space in the 1960's and has maintained this use since. The building has been home to some of Buffalo's greatest artists including photographer Cindy Sherman and painter Charles Clough. We now share the building with Buffalo Institute for Contemporary Art, 19 Ideas marketing agency, resident artists, and more.
